Spanish Glass Beads: Iberian, Phoenician, Roman, and Visigoth

Download the complete Photopack from Lulu.com – $2.00

Sable Tower Press is proud to release our first Photopack; Spanish Glass Beads. It contains 36 photographs of glass beads, necklaces, earrings, amphora, and figurines. These are the pictures you would take if you could travel to Barcelona with a very nice camera, and you now have access to the full-sized, original photos. Each picture is given a citation, and is perfect for documenting A&S projects.

The Photopack contains an easy to navigate web directory. Just unzip the folder and double-click on index.html to start browsing through the collection.

The glasswork in this collection spans the 4th Century BC through 7th Century AD. The continued popularity of eye beads across time and four separate cultures is striking. It is also interesting to see how beads of various sizes were used to compose a single piece of jewelry, and how glasswork was combined with beads of gold or semi-precious stones. This modest collection is full of treasures for lampworkers, jewelers, and history enthusiasts.
