Self-Introduction

A few years ago my wife and I had a three night stopover in Hong Kong. On our first evening we decided to patronize a real Chinese restaurant, and a fancy one at that. When the white-gloved waiter asked for our beverage choice, we looked at each other and simultaneously said, “tea!” That’s when the waiter pulled out a tea menu as long as the wine-list at a fine restaurant. That’s when we realized how little we knew about tea. Since then we have had the good fortune to live in both Japan and South Korea, where we have studied local tea traditions. We’d like to welcome you along on our continuing tea adventures around Asia.
